Justice in Action: MLK Family Experience Spring Hill

Details:

This experience is designed to teach children and families the importance of justice, kindness, and standing up for what’s right. The principles that Dr. King dedicated his life to. Through age-appropriate activities and projects (suitable for Pre-K and up), your children will have the opportunity to learn and grow while making a positive impact in our community.

As part of the event, we will show a very short video to provide historical context about Dr. King’s life and work. The video does mention that Dr. King was shot and killed, and we wanted to make you aware of this in advance.

As part of our justice initiative, we will be assembling sack lunches to distribute on our Food mobile and community partners.  We also will be collecting gently used children's books to distribute through on our Bookmobile to children in the Kansas City Metro.

We cannot wait to see you and your family on January 20th at your Resurrection location! Together, we’ll reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and work to carry his vision forward in our community.
